Digital X-Ray Technology

Digital x-ray technology is a diagnostic tool we utilize to help us identify a problem your pet may be experiencing. Although x-rays do not always identify the source of a problem, they help us detect the following:

  • Broken bones
  • Arthritis
  • Bone deformities
  • Foreign bodies
  • Tumors

X-rays do not require sedation except for nervous, anxious, or aggressive pets.

Digital images are stored in our database and can easily be shared with our clients or veterinary specialists.

Ultrasounds

Ultrasonic imaging helps us see things that cannot be seen on a digital x-ray. It provides a clear picture of the soft-tissue organs. Ultrasounds aid in detection and diagnosis of:

  • Pregnancies
  • Cysts and tumors
  • Fluid in the lungs or abdomen
  • Bladder and kidney stones

Ultrasounds are performed by a traveling board-certified radiologist at our hospital for our client’s convenience.
